Moderation Policy

The Due Diligence is a social platform built for real estate discussion. This Moderation Policy explains how content and user behavior may be reviewed, restricted, or removed in order to maintain a safe, relevant, and constructive environment.

This policy exists to protect the platform, the community, and its users. Moderation is an operational function, not a guarantee of content quality, accuracy, or safety.

By using The Due Diligence, you agree to this Moderation Policy.

1. Role of Moderation

The Due Diligence operates as a neutral hosting platform for user-generated content. Moderation is used to:

  • Enforce Community Guidelines
  • Reduce harmful, abusive, or disruptive behavior
  • Maintain relevance to real estate topics
  • Protect users and the platform from misuse

Moderation does not imply endorsement, verification, or approval of any content that remains visible on the platform.

2. What Content May Be Moderated

Content or behavior may be subject to moderation if it is believed to:

  • Violate the Community Guidelines
  • Be unlawful, harmful, or deceptive
  • Involve harassment, hate speech, or threats
  • Promote scams, fraud, or misleading claims
  • Be off-topic, spam, or disruptive
  • Misrepresent credentials or impersonate others
  • Violate intellectual property or privacy rights

Moderation may apply to posts, comments, messages, profiles, usernames, or any other platform activity.

3. Moderation Actions

Moderation actions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Removal of content
  • Editing or limiting visibility of content
  • Issuing warnings or notices
  • Temporary account restrictions
  • Permanent account suspension or termination

Actions may be taken with or without prior notice, depending on the severity of the issue.

4. Discretion and Judgment

All moderation decisions are made at the sole discretion of The Due Diligence.

We may consider factors such as:

  • Context of the content or behavior
  • Frequency or pattern of violations
  • Severity or potential harm
  • Impact on the community

We are not obligated to apply moderation actions uniformly or incrementally, and we may take immediate action where appropriate.

5. Automated and Manual Moderation

Moderation may involve:

  • Automated systems
  • Human review
  • User reports

Automated tools may flag content for review but do not guarantee accuracy. Human moderation decisions are not guaranteed to be error-free.

6. User Reports

Users may report content or behavior they believe violates platform policies.

Important notes about reporting:

  • Reporting does not guarantee removal or action
  • False or abusive reporting may result in enforcement action
  • Reports are reviewed on a best-effort basis
  • The Due Diligence is not required to provide updates or explanations regarding reports

7. Appeals

Users may submit appeals regarding moderation actions through the Help Center.

Appeals:

  • Are reviewed at our discretion
  • May be denied without explanation
  • Do not guarantee reinstatement of content or accounts

All moderation decisions, including appeal outcomes, are final.

8. No Obligation to Monitor

The Due Diligence is not obligated to monitor all content or activity on the platform.

Users acknowledge that:

  • Content may remain visible even if it violates guidelines
  • Moderation is not immediate or comprehensive
  • Responsibility for content ultimately lies with the user who created it

9. Zero-Tolerance Situations

Certain behaviors may result in immediate action without warning, including:

  • Fraud, scams, or financial deception
  • Threats of violence or harm
  • Hate speech or extremist content
  • Doxxing or exposure of personal information
  • Impersonation or identity fraud

Accounts involved in these activities may be permanently removed.

10. Platform Protection

Moderation decisions may be made to:

  • Protect platform stability
  • Prevent abuse or misuse
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Reduce risk to users or the company

The Due Diligence reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to any user or content that poses risk to the platform or community.

11. No Liability for Moderation Decisions

The Due Diligence is not liable for:

  • Content removed or left visible
  • User dissatisfaction with moderation outcomes
  • Loss of access resulting from enforcement actions

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Moderation Policy may be updated or revised at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the current policy.

Bottom Line

The Due Diligence moderates content to maintain a focused and respectful real estate community. Moderation is discretionary, not guaranteed, and exists to protect the platform and its users—not to validate or police every interaction.

Users who cannot comply with platform policies may lose access to The Due Diligence.
